short bioEugenio Valdano graduated in Physics in 2010 with a thesis about Quantum information and
computation, at the University of Torino, in Italy. He then enrolled in the Master course in Theoretical Physics, and in October 2012 he completed his thesis working at the Computational Epidemiology Lab at ISI Foundation, Turin, Italy. He then won a scholarship at the Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris, and was admitted to the PhD school in Public Health. He is currently working on his PhD project at the iPLESP (UMR-S 1136) in Paris. |
research activities
Eugenio is currently studying different types of dynamic networks in relation to disease
spreading. The goal of his research is to find out new sets of observables which can reliably uncover and stable topologic structures within these kinds of networks, and link them to the predictability of spreading processes. In particular he is working on livestock trade networks.
