Short bio Federico Fanelli obtained his Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from the Sapienza University of Rome, specializing on complex systems and stochastic processes. In his thesis, he developed a stochastic model for flagellar motility that reproduces key experimental features of sperm cell dynamics. This work is part of his broader interest in applying physics and mathematics to social and biological systems.
Research activities
Federico's research interests include stochastic processes, network science, and computational epidemiology. During his PhD at the EPIcx lab, he contributes to identifying epidemiologically significant clusters in the 2014–2015 Ebola epidemic in Guinea to improve adaptive preparedness strategies. |
