Francesco's current research work revolves around characterizing, both numerically and analitically, the dynamics of multiple interacting pathogens spreading in heterogeneous populations. His aim is to shed light on how the complex interplay between biological interactions and hosts' mobility and contact patterns determines the emergence and persistence of new pathogenic strains.
