short bio

After two Bachelor’s Degrees in Mathematical Engineering and Managerial Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino, Turin, Italy, in 2017 Giulia Bassignana obtained her Master's Degree in Mathematical Engineering, at the same university. During that period, she joined the ARAMIS Lab at the Paris Brain Institute, Paris, France, for a four-months internship. The latter was then expanded in a PhD focused on applying mathematical controllability theory to biological networks. Since December 2020, she joined the EPIcx Lab.

research activities

Giulia is especially interested in multidisciplinary projects and her research activity was centered on studying how to apply networks controllability to biological systems, in particular to molecular and brain networks. She now wishes to expand her studies to dynamical and temporal networks. Her current work focuses on modeling the spread of infectious diseases, and in particular to testing and screening strategies in specific settings.
