![]() We just posted on the arxiv a preprint on the analytical framework that we developed to compute the epidemic threshold for an arbitrary temporal network. Valdano et al. Analytical computation of the epidemic threshold on temporal networks. http://arxiv.org/abs/1406.4815 ![]() Our paper on the study of the MERS-CoV epidemic during spring-summer 2013 has finally appeared on Eurosurveillance today. Poletto et al. Assessment of the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (MERS-CoV) epidemic in the Middle East and risk of international spread using a novel maximum likelihood analysis approach. Eurosurveillance 19(23): pii20824 (2014). Our lab participated to NetSci2014 with a keynote talk by Vittoria on epidemics spreading on temporal networks and a contributed talk by Chiara Poletto on rapidly mutating pathogens spreading in space.
![]() We just posted on the arxiv our study on the assessment of the risk of infection for an epidemic occurring on a temporally evolving network when no updates on the current structure is available. We introduced the measure of loyalty of a node in establishing links/partnerships with the same neighbors across time, and applied the study to the network of cattle trade movements and and on the network of sexual contacts.
