9/28/2014

Taking place in an awesome setting (a medieval church!) and conducted through a smooth and spotless organization, ECCS 2014 was a terrific event last week in Lucca. And also a busy week, here is what we did:
- a keynote talk by Vittoria on Monday, "Facing the complexity of infectious disease spread"
- a contributed talk by Chiara on Tuesday, "Persistence of rapidly mutating pathogens on a metapopulation networks"
- a contributed talk by Davide on Thursday, "On the mechanisms for persistence of the European Bat Lyssavirus subtype 1"
- a contributed talk by Giancarlo on Thursday, ""
- a contributed talk by Eugenio on Friday, "Analytical computation of the epidemic threshold in temporal networks"
- we organized the 3rd edition of the satellite meeting "Contagion '14: modeling of Disease Contagion Processes" with Rowland Kao and Jacco Wallinga as invited speakers.
