COVID-19 pandemic response
Starting December 2019, cases of pneumonia of unknown etiology were reported in the city of Wuhan, in China. The infective pathogen was later identified to be a novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) causing COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019). On March 11, 2020, WHO declared COVID-19 viral disease a pandemic.
